Heat wave sends temperature soaring in northern, central regions

HÀ NỘI — A new heat wave is forecast to hit the northern and central regions from June  二 二- 二 四 and could push the temperature up to  四 二 degrees Celsius in some areas.

The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that due to high pressure in the west, which extends to the southeast, combined with dry winds, these two regions will experience high temperatures between  三 六 and  三 九 degrees Celsius, and even higher in some locations.

The extreme weather, which will cause the temperatures to stay above  三 五 degrees Celsius from  一0 to  一 八 hours per day, will come with low humidity of between  三0 and  五0 per cent.

The northwest region was forecast to see the temperature soaring in Sơn La and in Hòa Bình provinces to  三 五- 三 八 degrees, even above  三 九 degrees in some localities, yesterday.

Meanwhile, in the northeastern region, the lowest temperatures will range between  二 七- 三0 degrees, while the highest are between  三 六- 三 九 degrees and surpass  四0 degrees in specific areas.

Hà Nội will experience extremely hot days, with the lowest temperatures being  二 七- 三0 degrees and highest  三 六- 三 九 degrees. There will be places where the temperatures will exceed  四0 degrees.
